My research focuses on understanding the Precambrian geodynamics and crust-mantle
evolution utilizing major trace elements and lanthanides (REEs). Apart from constraining the
mechanisms using inorganic geochemistry, I use plasma and thermal mass spectrometry to
assess the isotopic compositions of primary, secondary, and tertiary crust using Rb-Sr, Sm-
Nd, and Lu-Hf systematics by the Isotope Dilution Mass Spectrometry (IDMS) technique.

We can better understand the processes involved in magma extraction from the mantle and
crystallization at shallow to deep crustal levels through geochemical studies and the timing
of these events by using data from these mass spectrometers. Geochemical and radiogenic
isotopic studies of terrestrial samples from Archean cratons provide insights into the ancient
geological processes and timing of greenstone volcanism and the emplacement of dyke
swarms. Consequently, deciphering the petrogenesis and tectonic settings of supracrustal
greenstone belt meta-volcanics (Iron Ore Group of rocks) and intra-cratonic dykes within the
Singhbhum craton, India.
